Khupe’s announcement is a big boost to CCC President Nelson Chamisa as he is now predicted to make a clean sweep of the Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North and Bulawayo votes where Khupe has strong support.
The move by Khupe is a victory for Chamisa as he has managed to achieve Jhupe’s endorsement in the face of powerful resistance from key leaders such as Mahere, Biti, Sikhala and activists such as Hopewell Chin’ono who openly advised Chamisa not to work with Khupe.
