The Zimbabwe Truck Drivers Association has filed an interdict against Operation Dudula, claiming its marches are intimidating to foreign nationals as well as employers.

Operation Dudula organisers claim their move is aimed at removing undocumented foreign traders and drug dealers in communities.

Advocate Simba Chitando said: ” I have been instructed by the Zimbabwean Truckers Association to take legal action to challenge the acts of intimidation against foreigners during Operation Dudula”.

“We have all seen the ugly acts of harassment, vigilantism, and xenophobic violence during this operation, which targets members of the Zimbabwean Truckers Association, their families, and foreigners from many African countries.”

The Drivers Association wants Dudula operation marches to be restrained from approaching foreign nationals or their employers.
