More details have emerged following the violence that rocked the Chamisa rally which was held over the weekend at Kwekwe.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has finally confirmed that one person, Mboneni Ncube (30) died during the event.

The ZRP further revealed the names of the suspects. The suspects are allegedly Zanu-PF supporters who attended the Chamisa rally wearing yellow T-shirts.

Footage circulating on social media showed them throwing rocks at the crowd. Witnesses also said they used iron bars and machetes to attack CCC members.
