Atleast twelve people were reportedly injured, two of them in critical condition, after shopkeepers at Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra opened fire on protesting members of Operation Dudula on Monday night.

Among the injured is a pregnant woman who got caught in a cross fire and she was shot on her head and another man who was shot on his upper chest.

The two victims were immediately taken to the local Masakhane Clinic in Alexandra.

The operation dudula was launched few days ago by a group of South Africans who are calling for the deportation of undocumented foreigners.

They believe that all Foreigners should be deported immediately because they are taking away jobs.

The members of the operation dudula decided that since foreigners are not getting deported, they would get rid of them forcefully.
