Australia’s immigration minister, Alex Hawke, has re-cancelled the visa of reigning Australian Open tennis champion Novak Djokovic.

Immigration minister Alex Hawke said: “Today I exercised my power under section 133C(3) of the Migration Act to cancel the visa held by Mr Novak Djokovic on health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so.”

There are multiple reports that Djokovic’s legal team has indicated it will immediately take the decision to court.

Novak’s lawyers would seek to have a potential case fast-tracked by minimising the length of their submissions.
