Atleast eleven (11) Zimbabwean internationals have died while attempting to cross over to the Republic of South Africa.
According to multiple sources, the undocumented Zimbabweans attempted to cross Limpopo river by foot with some attempting to use boats.
A boat carrying eight (8) Zimbabweans who were attempting to cross the crocodile-infested Limpopo River into South Africa reportedly capsized near Gate 7 east of the border post on Sunday.
The other three were reportedly swept away in different incidents also on Sunday.
The sad news comes days after the South African government tightened its security at the Beitbridge border posts.
The South African government is on a mission to block undocumented Zimbabweans from crossing over to Johannesburg and other parts of South Africa.
