The President of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa met the president of Botswana, Mogkweetsi Masisi in Victoria Falls on Thursday.

The two leaders held extensive bilateral talks which covered cooperation in several areas, including the possibility of joint projects on either side of the border.

The two neighbouring States have upgraded their relations in the spirit of giving greater impetus to cooperation within the context of SADC.

Following the meeting, President Mnangagwa flew back to Harare in the afternoon after seeing off his guest at the Victoria Falls International Airport.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe  has stepped up efforts to develop its own side in readiness for the quad-National one-stop border post at Kazungula.

The Zimbabwean leader was accompanied by Foreign Minister, Dr Frederick Shava, and senior Government officials.
