P.G: I am very happy that you are joining me for the first time. When were you appointed as the spokesperson of Dr Khupe?

ND: I was appointed on 1 December 2021, but I have been working in her office as a press officer under the leadership of her then spokesperson, Sen. Khaliphani Phugeni. So I am not new in the system, I have been there for the past two or so years.

P.G: I would like us to go through a number of issues and that I hope you will be able to clarify for us. The first question I have is , where is the court cases that were launched by Dr Khupe at the High court?

ND: We filed our papers on an urgent basis and we got a response from our laweyrs that we are awaiting for the courts to allocate the case to a judge and provide us with a date for the hearing. It is an urgent matter so it will be heard in chambers.

But I want to start by saying a few remarks. It is ironic that the beneficiaries of a court process are now ridiculing, insulting and threatening people who took the party to court. The MDC T is a product of a court process. Therefore there is no reason for people to begin to insult and threaten party members who have decided to take it to court.

We appreciate that the MDC-T has a right to recall its members from Parliament and councils , but that right has limitations. The recalls must be within the law, within its constitution of the party and the constitution of the republic.

There must be fair administrative justice, meaning that the people that are lined up for recalls must be given a chance to give their side of the story. Unlike the current situation whereby they are not afforded a chance to defend themselves.

If you’re looking for people who support Chamisa, look no further , We have people like Job Sikhala, who is the Vice Chairperson of the MDC Alliance….
