Jonathan Moyo Reveals How he Campaigned for Chamisa in 2018

Former Minister of Information and Publicity, Professor Jonathan Moyo has finally broke his silence on how he Campaigned for Chamisa during the 2018 elections.

The exiled former Zanu-PF member took to social media to reveal that he produced radio and television adverts meant to boost chances of Chamisa winning the elections.

The former member of Parliament for Tsholotsho said he produced the adverts with Edmund Kudzayi.

“For purposes of winning an election, if a party structures itself as everyone’s movement, with an inclusive message that appeals to everyone; it does not mean it will win all available votes on voting day, but that it will have an excellent chance of winning most of the votes,” Moyo posted.

“Ask @EdmundKudzayi, who has the archives, and see if he can be persuaded to rerun here the print, radio and television ads that we made and flighted for @nelsonchamisa and the @mdczimbabwe in the 2018 harmonised elections; from start to finish. There may be lessons from the ads,” he added.

Meanwhile, Edmund Kudzayi also confirmed that he was working with Jonathan Moyo in producing adverts meant to boost chances of Chamisa beating Ed Mnangagwa.

“@glenmpani has asked that I share the radio, print, and television work that Professor Moyo and I did for the MDC Alliance in 2018. This was hurried last-minute work with a few weeks remaining after we discovered that the party had not prepared any media material. More to come,” posted Edmund Kudzayi.
