Breaking News: South Africa Records Over11 000 New Omicron Cases

The Republic of South Africa on Thursday recorded 11 535 new Omicron Infections.

 

The number of people who have tested positive for Omicron after variant is on the rise in South Africa.

As of Thursday, 02 December the cumulative number of #COVID19 cases identified in SA is 2 988 148.

South Africa also  recorded  44 on Thursday  bringing the total to 89 915 deaths.

 

The cumulative number of recoveries now stand at 2 850 905 with a recovery rate of 95,4%.

 

Few days ago, the health department of South Africa revealed that it has discovered a new covid-19 variant.

 

Following the announcement, many countries tightened its covid-19 regulations.

 

The Western countries took a decision to add Southern African countries to red list.

 

Meanwhile, the Vice President of Zimbabwe Constantino Chiwenga on Thursday afternoon announced that Zimbabwe has recorded its first case of Omicron variant.
