The President of Zimbabwe and leader of Zanu-PF, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa has reshuffled the Politburo.

 

Mnangagwa appointed his wife Auxillia Mnangagwa as the Secretary for Environment and Tourism.

The first Lady was previously the Deputy and now replaces Cde Prisca Mupfumira.

Mnangagwa also appointed former Secretary for Science and Technology Cde Chris Mutsvanga as the new secretary for information, replacing the late Simon Khaya Moyo. Mutsvangwa’s wife, Monica, is the information minister.

 

Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi has replaced Cde Mutsvangwa as Secretary for Science and Technology.

Meanwhile Mike Bimha is new political commissar, replacing Victor Matemadanda.

In other appointments, Cde Judith Ncube has been appointed as a Politburo member representing Bulawayo Province.

 

The President has further appointed Cde Omega Hungwe and Cde Oliver Chidawu as Politburo members with immediate effect and these two are coming from Harare Province
