Warriors and Aston Villa defensive midfielder, Marvellous Nakamba has been named in English Premier League’s team of the week by football legend, Shearer.
Nakamba was included in the team of the week after he displayed a Man of the Match performance in the 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Newly appointed coach of Aston Villa, Steven Gerrard has been depending on Nakamba for defensive positions.
The Zimbabwean made his second successive start under new coach Steven Gerrard.
Nakamba will be hoping to start again when in the next game against premier league champions, Manchester City.
He made 51touches, 34 out of 39 succesful passes, won five out of nine ground duels, won three out of four tackles, 10 recoveries, two clearances and one interception.
