Jonathan Moyo Slams President Mnangagwa for Unconstitutionally Seeking a Third Term

Former Minister of Information and Publicity, Jonathan Moyo says the President of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa is seeking an Unconstitutional third term in 2023.



The former G40 member took to social media to accuse the president of Unconstitutionally seeking a third term.


“Having served his first term up to 30 July 2018 following a power grab in a military coup in November 2017; and having started his second term on 26 August 2018, after a stolen election, Ed Mnangagwa is Unconstitutionally seeking a third term in 2023,” posted Professor Jonathan Moyo.


Moyo is a former Zanu-PF member who was closely linked to Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Gabriel Mugabe.


He was thrown out of the party following the coup that led to the end of the Mugabe Era.


Moyo, Grace Mugabe, Ignitious Chombo were thrown out of the ruling party by His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
