Paris Saint-Germain FĂ©minines midfielder Aminata Diallo has been placed under police custody by investigators over a suspected link to the recent assault of teammate Kheira Hamraoui.

PSG have since released a statement acknowledging Diallo’s placement under custody, referencing the investigation over assault against its players on Thursday night.

The club is collaborating with the authorities and has taken steps to “guarantee the health, safety, and wellbeing” of its PSG said in a statement that the 26-year-old Diallo was arrested on Wednesday morning by Versailles police following the attack that took place last Thursday evening.

However, no other names were given, but several French media reports said that midfielder Kheira Hamraoui was attacked following an evening out with Diallo and another unnamed teammate.
