Newly elected Zambian President, Hakainde Hichilema, angrily responded to a Diamond TV journalist after she asked him about accusations that he was asking appointments on tribal basis.

Hichilema hit back at the journalist and accused her of being motivated to ask the question by ulterior motives.

Asked about when he will make key appointments of permanent Secretaries and police commissioners, Hichilema said he has only been in office for 2 month and 11 days and he was prioritizing the budget.

Hichilema was speaking on arrival from the COP26 meeting in Scotland.
