The Outgoing Malawian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Her Excellency Ms Annie Kumwenda paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday.

The ambassador met President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this Tuesday to confirm the end of her diplomatic mission in Zimbabwe.

After serving as Malawi’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe for the past six years, Ambassador Annie Kumwenda bade farewell to President Mnangagwa at State House in Harare this Tuesday.

The ties which date back to the pre-colonial era were further cemented when Malawian President Dr Lazarus Chakwera jetted into Zimbabwe last year for a meeting with his counterpart, President Mnangagwa.

With a number of Zimbabwean companies doing business with her home country, Ambassador Kumwenda says the two countries should pursue more corporation on the business front.

“We have seen a lot of countries going to Malawi to invest in different sectors in Agriculture. We wish to take that further. There is more room for trade,” she said.
