The Zambian government led by His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema has taken possession of the 65 million kwacha cash and 57 thousand United States Dollars recently found at the house of Lusaka Journalist Faith Musonda.
The State also seized the property in Lusaka’s new Kasama valued at six million kwacha were the funds suspected to be proceeds of crime were found.
The property is owned by OCK Investments Limited, a company in which Ms. Musonda is a majority shareholder.
This follows an undertaking entered into between Ms. Musonda and a joint investigative team comprising the Anti-Corruption Commission -ACC, Zambia Police Service, Drug Enforcement Commission and Financial Intelligence Centre.
