The President of MDC Alliance, Advocate Nelson Chamisa held a rally on Monday afternoon in Chimanimani.

The opposition leader took to social media to update his followers about his visit to Chimanimani.

“At Ngangu in Chimanimani, Manicaland for a citizens and community interface. Zimbabwe needs real change,” he posted.

For the past few weeks, Chamisa has been touring different cities in Zimbabwe as he is on a mission of boosting his image ahead of the much anticipated parliamentary and presidential elections.

He was however in hot soup last week after his convoy was violently attacked by allegedly Zanu-PF supporters in Masvingo.

He managed to escape, however some of the MDC Alliance officials were injured.

According to multiple sources, the cars they were travelling with were attacked with big stones.
