A pregnant 21 year old from Chief Chireya (Henry Chidziva), has revealed that the pregnancy belongs to her father in law.
The young woman narrated that she fell pregnant on the first night when she slept with her father in law, who slid into her blankets uninvited.
She revealed that both her husband and mother in law had left for South Africa and it was only her and the father in law living at the homestead.
Her husband, who moved to South Africa when she was 5 months pregnant, had denied the first pregnancy and she was now now living with his parents.
It was after the birth of the first child that the father in law said he was now taking over as her husband since his son was unwilling to keep her.
Chief Chireya told Kwayedza newspaper that what happened is a taboo and the father in law will be fined 3 cows.
He will also not be allowed to keep the young woman as his wife.
Her father said what has happened is disgraceful and said he wants compensation.
