The President of Zambia His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema has confirmed that he will sale the Presidential Jet so as to raise funds that will benefit the country.
Before his appointment as the 7th president of Zambia, Hichilema declared that he will sale the Jet if appointed as president.
Few weeks ago he left to the United States to attend a United Nations General Assembly using a commercial plane which is not luxurious as the Presidential Jet.
“We had to take a commercial flight as part of delivering our message that we don’t want that Presidential Jet. We thought it was expensive it was unnecessary and too expensive to use the Presidential Jet,” he said.
He further went on to defend his decision to travel with a delegation of three officials.
