Award winning independent journalist Hopewell Chinono has left the country to France to attend a summit.
He took to social media to reveal that he is on his way to Addis then he departs to France.
“Now on the runway ready to take off for Addis, then Paris where I am attending the Africa-France summit.
Contrary to the lies peddled in court by the State that I am running away because I have a home in England, when trying to block my passport application , I am coming back home,” he posted.
The government of Zimbabwe had confiscated his passport as it feared that he will run away before clearing himself from the courts.
Last year he was arrested 3 times within a space of 6 months.
