Hakainde Hichilema Confirms the Plan to Sale Presidential Jet

Zambia’s republican President Hakainde Hichilema will be flying commercial and with a lean team to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly next week.

According to the National Spokesperson of the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) Cornelius Mweetwa who addressed the Media today, the move is aimed at demonstrating prudence in the use of the country’s resources as pronounced by the head of state.

Meanwhile Mweetwa has noted that the relevant documentation to facilitate the sale of the Presidential Jet are being put together.

He says this to counter reports that the administration had changed its position on the matter.
