New Bushiri TV drama with 1600 actors starts filming in SA

City Press reports that a TV drama about the life of fugitive prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, will begin filming by Moja Love channel soon.

The newspaper says the TV drama will be titled Bushiri: Inkalakatha and will air next year.

The drama will have 1600 actors and will film in 35 locations. Production on the 13 part series will start in January.

Moja Love CEO, Aubrey Tau, told the newspaper that the aim is to make the drama historically correct.

Bushiri’ ‘s story will be the first in the Inkalakatha anthology. The channel said they did not work with Bushiri directly, however, they worked with people who were close to him both in Malawi and South Africa.
