The President of Zambia, His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema has promoted his former prison boss Mr Kuyomba Bwalya as Deputy Commissioner General of Zambia Correctional Services.
‘’I never knew I’d end up in max prison. Dep. CG Bwalya & I met in those circumstances and under an oppressive regime,he tried hard 2 act professionally. He was my boss, but today he’s been sworn in as Dep. CG by one of his detainees. Life goes round,” said Hakainde Hichilema.
Hakainde also appointed Mr Frederick Shanga Chilukutu as Commissioner General of Zambia Correctional Services.
Mr. Fanwell Siandenge was sworn in as Deputy Inspector General of Police at State House.
In addition to the above, Hakainde also appointed Mr Wallace Chakawa as Senior Private Secretary.
The above officers took their oath of allegiance before Hakainde at State House yesterday.
The President wished them the best in their new roles and he said he is confident that they will serve the people of Zambia with dedication and diligence.
