The President of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa has defended his move to donate vaccines to the Republic of Namibia.
The country donated 2000 vaccines to Namibia few days ago.
Opposition parties criticised the government’s move to donate vaccines to other countries.
However, Mnangagwa says it is a good move.
“Only when all citizens of our region are protected, will Zimbabwe be able to return to normality.
I’m delighted to announce that Zimbabwe has donated 20,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Namibia. Let’s protect all Africans,” posted Mnangagwa.
Zimbabwe is on a mission to vaccinate atleast 60% of the population.
The ministry of health and childcare recently gave greenlight to the vaccination of people between the age of 14 and 17.
