Members of the former MDC Alliance have unanimously called for the new party name to be called MDC Chamisa.
This comes after the MDC Alliance coalition of Douglas Mwonzora announced that they will be contesting all future elections under the name MDC Alliance.
The announcement was met with renewed calls by Chamisa supporters for the party to change the name from MDC Alliance once and for all.
Members argued that the MDC Chamisa name is the only name that is safe as it can not be claimed by anyone else.
