American President, Joe Biden has admitted that the Taliban advanced faster than expected and the Afghanistan military gave up without a fight.
Biden said he would not send Americans to die in an endless civil war that Afghans are not willing to fight in.
He said America has spent over USD 1 Trillion over the past 20 years and helped to build an Afghan military that was 3000 strong, including an airforce which the Taliban did not have.
Biden said there is never a best time to leave Afghanistan and the decision to leave was difficult.
He said Afghans that worked for the US Embassy will be evacuated and will be settled in the USA.
