Award winning independent journalist Hopewell Chinono says he is ready to report Baba Jukwa to Facebook Southern Africa.

The decision to report Baba Jukwa comes hours after Baba Jukwa released an article in which Chinono is accused of having S-x with a minor.

According to Baba Jukwa leaks, a Family 24 lodge attended last night reported to Kuwadzana 2 police station that she had received death threats after she declined a proposal by the journalist that she procures abortion.

Chinono took to social media to respond to the allegations tarnishing his name.

A lot of you have inboxed me articles on social media pages which are tainting me.

These are distractions and side shows that are meant to remove our focus from the real issues that I address here daily.

So I will not respond to them because that is their desire for me to do so, and reduce our engagement to discussions on falsehoods.

I have written to Facebook executives responsible for Sub-Saharan Africa about the post.

We will find out who is behind the page and take appropriate action.
Facebook will cooperate as required by the law.

Let us focus on the real issues that are affecting our communities and not spend time on badly packaged propaganda!

ZANUPF is desperate to silence my voice because I am pointing out issues of looting, plunder and corruption and doing so with evidence.

Instead of posting Grade 1 articles on social media, they should address the issues we are raising.

Each time you circulate Fake news, you are helping them distract more people!

Thank you.
