Popular host, former radio personality and businessman Tichafa Matambanadzo, affectionately known in the entertainment industry as “Tich Mataz turned 52 years this week.
Tich Mataz worked in the media industry for many years and his broadcasting career started in 1988.
He is most known for presenting music programs on ZTV.
In recent times, Mataz has been caught up in various fraud scandals. In 2009 he was arrested after he was accused of swindling the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) which was then being led by Gideon Gono.
In 2013 he was the Programmes Manager for Star FM and he was suspended on allegations of swindling the radio station of more than US$125 000.
He claimed to have been called by God to become a prophet in 2017.
