Former Minister of Information Jonathan Moyo has finally broken his silence on Roki’s song with Koffi Olomide.

The Congolese musician Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba professionally known as Koffi Olomide collaborated a song titled Patati Patata with Roki.

In his lyrics, Olomide endorsed Mnangagwa leaving many Zimbabweans angry at him for praising the president.

However, an unexpected public figure, Jonathan Moyo has defended Roki and Koffi Olomide.

He took to twitter to blast everyone who hates the Mnangagwa hit song.

“If anyone is offended by the insipid Kofi Olomide lyric, “ED Munangagwa, Number One”, which he chants only once in his “Patati Patata” collabo with Roki & Tanzania’s Rayvany, then they need a moral compass. The chant is dumb, but not offensive. Give #Roki a break, he deserves it,” tweeted Jonatan Moyo.

However, Independent Journalist Hopewell Chinono quickly responded.

“I disagree with @ProfJNMoyo on this one.

He is only looking at Roki, ignoring the owners of the project, and how it is funded, and where the funds are coming from, and who is being deprived with the looting of these funds!

We can’t be upset with looting, and not its outcomes,” he tweeted.
