The President of MDC Alliance Nelson Chamisa has failed to assist the family of late Morgan Tsvangirai in paying a US$500 bill.

According to multiple sources, a South African hospital has engaged debt collectors to recover atleast R6000 remaining from the late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s medical bills.

Tsvangirai died at the age of 65 on 14 February 2018 in South Africa after battling colon cancer.

Following his death, President Emmerson Mnangagwa who had succeeded the late president Robert Gabriel Mugabe in November 2017 said the government would assume the hospital bills while addressing the mourners at Tsvangirai’s home.

He said they will fulfil the financial and material promises made to Tsvangirai including his bills.

However, the bill is still not cleared by the government nor by the MDC.
