The President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa has fulfilled his electoral promises of reviving Industries.

According to Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI), more than 70% of goods in the local shops are produced in the Zimbabwean Industries.

Few years ago the Zimbabwean Industries were struggling to produce a lot of goods, capacity utilization was very low as companies were using a very small part of their factories.

In 2019, capacity utilization was 36.4%. In 2020 it rose to 47%.

In 2021 the analysts are expecting it to rise to 61%.

The rise of the capacity utilization is due to various factors which include improved power supply to the factories, better acces to forex and RBZ auction system.
