Popular journalist Conway Tutani has died.

According to multiple sources Tutani collapsed and died around 4pm at his house yesterday.

The mourners are gathered at his home in Houghton Park, Harare.

He worked for The NewsDay as a proof-reader since it’s launch in 2010.

Public figures have reacted to the untimely passing of Tutani.

“Tutani was the @thestandardzim proof reader. He was among the last people l saw leaving the newsroom on Saturday night after we put the latest edition to bed. I have no words,” tweeted another top journalist, Kholwani Nyathi

“May His Dear Soul Rest In Eternal Peace My heartfelt condolences to the Tutani family and the media fraternity. @conwaytutani was one of the very few veteran journalists who called a spade a spade and not a garden spoon. Rest in peace Cde,” tweeted Linda Masarira
