Former Warriors Captain Willard Katsande has officially sent his goodbyes to the Kaizer Chiefs management, players and fans.

In a video released by Amakhosi, the former Kaizer Chiefs captain thanked Kaizer Motaung for the opportunity to represent the team for 10 years.

Katsande further said he is proud of himself and he hopes his parents are proud of him wherever they are.

He revealed that his father’s wish was to have a son who plays football, sadly his father died before Katsande became a star.

The Zimbabwean joined Amakhosi in 2011 from Ajax Cape Town.

After ten years with Chiefs, the midfielder holds the record of being the most capped foreigner after playing 326 official matches.

“It is with heavy heart that I must leave my beloved Kaizer Chiefs family. I am honoured and eternally grateful to the Chairman of the Club, Mr Kaizer Motaung for granting me the opportunity to represent this great institution over the past 10 years

“To the peace-loving fans of Kaizer Chiefs, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and encouragement over the years,” said Katsande

Katsande was among seven players who were released by the Soweto giants.

Also on the transfer list is Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya who is Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy’s product.

25-year-old Yagan Sasman will also join the transfer list.

The left-back arrived in Naturena at the start of 2019/20 season.

He played 32 matches and scored 3 goals for the Glamour Boys.

Philani Zulu will also not have his contract extended when it expires at the end of the month.

The left-back cum midfielder joined the Glamour Boys in 2017 from Maritzburg United.

Another player who joined Chiefs from Maritzburg United is Goalkeeper Brylon Petersen – he will also head for the exit door after Chiefs signed another keeper last week.

Meanwhile, attacker Lazalous Kambole will be made available for other Clubs to acquire his services on a loan or permanent basis.

He has played 40 matches in the two seasons he’s been with Amakhosi.
