Mangudya Warns Traders Rejecting Banknotes

The Governor of Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe John P Mangudya has warned all traders who reject some bank notes Issued by the RBZ.

The Reserve Bank took to social media to reveal that it is an offense to reject bank notes issued by RBZ since 2016.

“The Bank would like to advise the public that all banknotes issued by RBZ since 2016 are legal tender in Zimbabwe. Traders who reject such notes should be reported to the Financial Intelligence Unit on hotline numbers 0714039897 or 0780434475,” tweeted RBZ.

Many informal traders have been rejecting two dollars bank notes.

Few weeks ago, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe circulated new ZW$50 RTGs.
