The government of Zimbabwe has announced that the frontline workers are supposed to get vaccinated before 14 July for them to qualify for some services offered by the government.

Failure to get vaccinated by the 14th of July will result in loss of benefits such as Covid-19 insurance payouts.

Govt runs an Insurance Compensation Scheme which pays out to its frontline workers, should they contract Covid19. From the 14th of July 2021 the Insurance will stop paying those who contract Covid19 after opting not to be vaccinated.

This was revealed yesterday during the post cabinet briefing by Monica Mutsvangwa who is the Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Servjces Minister.

Yesterday, President Emmerson Mnangagwa proclaimed a level 4 lockdown which follows a surge in Covid-19 infection and death cases across the country, particularly in hot spot areas.
