Atleast three people died on the spot after a horrific car accident at the 94km peg along Harare-Chirundu Road.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the accident, revealing that six more people were injured following the accident.
The police also revealed that a motorist driving a Honda fit motor vehicle side swiped with another motorist driving a haulage truck Scania 420 which was proceeding on the opposite direction. The Honda fit veered off the road and rested on its wheels in a ditch.
However, the names of the deceased are yet to be identified and the bodies are at Banket Hospital for post mortem while the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
