The newly appointed ambassador to Mozambique, Victor Matematanda has vowed to fulfill his new duties so as to stay in good books with the President.

The outgoing political Commissar commended the president.

“I have confidence in my President and I know he assigns me where he thinks I can serve most, I can assure you I will deliver as to expectations,” said Matematanda.

In an interview, Matematanda revealed that the rumours circulating before the official announcement were misplaced.

The former political Commissar of Zanu-PF further revealed that he didn’t respond to the rumours because he was following the protocol.

Rumours circulating on social media claimed that Victor Matematanda had been demoted by the president.

The outgoing political Commissar will be replaced by Patrick Chinamasa.
