The Sunday Times reveals that Matifadza Nyazema, who worked in South Africa as the Executive Director at the Sandton Convention center, returned home to Zimbabwe to build the R100 million Mbano Manor Hotel in Victoria falls in 2016.

Mati told the newspaper that she presented her proposal to over 100 banks and failed to get any funding for her dream.

Eventually, the project was financed by Standard Chartered Bank and NSSA.

In 2016, Mati started working on the Mbano Manor Hotel project, which was completed just before the lock down in 2020.

Mati is married to renowned Professor Norman Nyazema.
