The South African National Defence Force has today revealed the physical excersizes for its current recruitment of special forces.

The excersizes were stated as:

A total of 40 push-ups without breaking rhythm.
• A total of 4 pull-ups.
• A total of 67 sit-ups within two minutes.
• Complete 15km walk with 25kg backpack in 3 hours.
• Complete 175m fireman’s-lift run within 65 minutes.
• Complete 5km run within 24 minutes.
• A total of 40 six-metre shuttle-runs within 95 seconds.
• Water test subject to the availability of swimming pool.
• Personal interview.

Date: 14 May 2021: KwaZulu-Natal | Durban Regiment.

17 and 19 May 2021: Western Cape | Infantry School and ASB Western Cape.

17 and 19 May 2021: Mpumalanga | ADA School (Ermelo) and 4 SAI BN.

24 and 25 May 2021: North West | School of Intelligence and School of Artillery.

24 and 25 May 2021: Northern Cape | 3 SAI BN and 10 AA Regiment.

27 and 28 May 2021: Limpopo | ASB Limpopo and 5 Special Forces Regiment.

27 and 28 May 2021 | Gauteng | ASB Garrison.

The following criteria must be adhered to:
• RSA Citizen.
• Age: 18 to 26.
• Regular and Reserve Force Members including Military Skills Development System (MSDS) | CIVILIAN MEMBERS ARE EXCLUDED.
• Successful completion of Basic Military Training.
• Medical fit, with a classification of G1K1 Green.
• No criminal record (military or civilian).
• 72 Hours COVID-19 negative results.

Candidates reporting for the selection must bring along the following:
• Original ID and 1 x Copy.
• Black pen.
• Original Matric Certificate.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Physical Training (PT) clothes.

The members will undergo the SA Special Forces entry test comprising the following:
• A total of 40 push-ups without breaking rhythm.
