Award winning journalist and filmmaker Hopewell Chinono will be back to court today for his first case of inciting public violence.
The independent journalist was charged for revealing corruption about Covid-19 funds, the information he revealed further led to the dismissal of the then minister of health.
“Today I go back to court again for the first case I was arrested for in 2020 where I was charged with Incitement to Public Violence.
My lawyers were informed that the State is ready for trial in May.
I am accused of saying that elections & the judiciary have failed Zimbabweans,” tweeted Chinono.
