Monica Mutsvangwa has confirmed that the cabinet has deferred consideration
of the opening of bars and nightclubs until further notice.

Addressing the members of the media after cabinet meeting, Mutsvangwa revealed that the cabinet considered banning of night clubs till further notice because the country is on the verge of having a third wave of Covid-19.

Mutsvangwa also confirmed that the cabinet approved the Guardianship of Minors Ammendment Bill, 2020. The Bill seeks to align provisions of the Guardianship of Minors Act [Chapter 5:08] to the current Constitution and provides for the exercise of joint guardianship and custody by parents.
