MDC Alliance MP for Harare West Joana Mamombe was forcibly removed from a private hospital at night yesterday and returned to Chikurubi Maximum Prison while she was still receiving treatment.
Mamombe was admitted to Parktown Hospital on Wednesday with acute stomach pain.
Mamombe said she is still unwell however prison officers forcibly took her to prison without doctors permission
Jonathan Moyo condemned the act by ZPCS.
“INDECENT, INHUMANE & UNJUST: Mnangagwa’s Prison Services officials storm Harare West MDC-A MP Honourable @JoanaMamombe’s hospital bed & forcibly remove her BEFORE she had completed medical treatment prescribed by her doctors & WITHOUT following the hospital’s discharge protocols!”
