Former Zimbabwe national cricket team captain and coach, Heath Streak has resigned from the Heath Streak academy after the cricket legend was banned from all forms of cricket for eight years.

The latest development was announced at a news conference held at the Academy.

In a meeting held today, the board of directors renamed the academy to Zimbabwe Youth Cricket academy Trust.

Meanwhile the academy’s Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Rego has been named the new board chair.

Streak was this week banned from all forms of cricket for eight years by the International Cricket Council after he was found guilty of breaching the International Cricket Council -ICC anti-corruption code.

The academy which has been spearheading cricket development in Matabeleland was launched three years ago.

Earlier today, the Chairman of Zimbabwe Cricket described Heath Streak as a corrupt, greedy and Selfish Character.
