Popular Zimbabwean gospel musician, Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave has revealed that she now has a Masters degree in an upcoming interview with Embrace Talk show that will be aired later this week.

Fungisai is a multi award winning African contemporary gospel musician who has 14 albums to date.

Besides that, she’s a philanthropist who is deeply engaged in noble causes such as being a social activist for HIV and AIDS, children’s rights, and global action initiatives.

Furthermore, she is the founder of the vulnerable woman Development Trust, and she holds other important positions, such as Girl Guide guide with the Zimbabwe Girl Guides Association, which does character building for young girls in schools.

She is a former board member for the National AIDS Council, and former panelist, of the information and media panel of inquiry 2014 to 2015.

She is currently an ambassador, under the global action against poverty campaign, and has recorded a theme song entitled Mwanasikana munhu (The girl child is equally important ), that advocates for equal opportunities for the girl child in education, employment opportunities in the home, and the community as a whole.

Fungisai is the first ever artist to have hosted a prison concert in Zimbabwe.

Apart from being a seasoned musician, activist and philanthropist, she is also a designer who established the house of NASA, which supplies women’s wear to church choirs, clubs, and individuals in Zimbabwe, the UK, Dubai, and South Africa.

Interestingly, she has also earned an acting role in Zimbabwe’s first ever big screen movie, Chinhoyi Seven.

Fungisai holds several qualifications, which are certificate in family counseling, certificate entrepreneurship , certificate in Marketing Management, Certificate in marketing, Executive BSC degree in sociology, and above all, she holds a master’s degree in child sensitive social policy.

She is happily married, and blessed with three beautiful children.
