Talent Rusere, the spokesman of newly formed Zimbabwe Democratic And Economic Freedom Party President, Edith Chibhamu, says he has fled his home in Mozambique , after Chibhamu sent nine assassins to kill him.
Rusere, who is now in hiding in an undisclosed country, said his troubles started after he complained about not being paid.
Rusere said Chibhamu only paid him for one month, after she had made him quit his full time job to focus on party activities.
Rusere said last month, he spent two days in a Western Union queue after Chibhamu told him she had sent money, only for him to find out she had not sent any transfer.
Rusere said his situation became so desperate that his family went to bed without eating and he was now failing to pay rent.
When he called Chibhamu to complain, Rusere said she told him that :
This is Dubai, Not Africa. I did not get a chance to go to the mall
Rusere said he realised that Chibhamu’s party was not his home and decided to quit.
After he quit, Rusere says he started receiving death threats on his phone.
Nine unknown men also visited his Mozambique home looking for him.
Rusere said out of concern for his family, he fled from Mozambique by boat towards one of the islands, where he is now in hiding.
Gambakwe Media contracted Chibhamu who said:
He was not happy with the way he was being attacked by the rest of the team. I think he felt they always targeted him or crushed every point he raised. They were a bit unfair to him and he left. But he still remains my son.
At this point my dear let me keep silent if that is the truth and its what will make him happy please publish. And make him happy all I want is to see him happy. And if that’s what will make him happy please publish.
The news of Rusere’s departure from Chibhamu’s party came as a shock, as he was instrumental in its formation.
The energetic young Rusere is probably the youngest politician in Zimbabwe.
He announced his departure from the party through messages on Facebook and whatsapp groups.

I found myself unfit to the Party ideology and politics. I will continue fighting for the best of our beloved nation in a way I believe is the right way. I wish the best for my fellow democrates still in the *ZDEFP, and other political parties and individuals* fighting for a change in Zimbabwe.
