Independent Norton legislator Temba Mliswa says imprisoned MDC A activist Makomborero Haruzivishe should stay stong despite the harassment.

Posting in a twitter thread, Mliswa said from his experience all the state acquittals are an elevation in his life.

“@MakomboreroH Drawing from personal experience as motivation, each time I have been incarcerated has been a defining moment where upon my acquittals, my station in life was elevated. In Hurungwe West I was arrested before becoming a MP, again before elected as Provincial Chair”

The 28-year-old, an outspoken critic of the government, was jailed for 24 months on the first count of incitement, and 12 months for resisting arrest. Ten of the 24 months and six of the 12 months were suspended. With the two sentences to run concurrently, Haruzivishe will serve 14 months in prison.

Mliswa said God has everything planned for Makomborero.

“I went on to become an Independent Member of Parliament. The plans He has for us are always good plans. So chin up and take heart”
