The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced additional measures against the spread of Covid-19 disease during Easter holidays.

Zimbabwe will be celebrating Easter holidays from Friday, 2nd April 2021 and ending on 5th April 2021.

In his statement, the President announced additional measures of the easter holidays.

The measures are as follows:

1- Travellers coming into the country from neighbouring states must undergo valid PCR tests not more than 48 hours from the time of their departure for Zimbabwe. Travellers without this will be quarantined for 10 days at their cost.

School Learners who are in boarding schools are not permitted to travel home for the Easter Holidays. Equally, no parents should travel to these boarding schools over Easter for the purpose of visits.

Bars and Night Clubs will remain closed during the Easter holidays.

All gatherings, including church services, funerals and weddings will remain limited to not more than 50 people.
