Emmerson Mnangagwa has offered state assisted burial to Tapiwa Makore’s family.

The 7-year old child was murdered seven months ago by his uncle and namesake Tapiwa Makore (Snr) with the assistance of his herdboy Tafadzwa Shamba for alleged ritual purposes.

Makore (Snr) and Shamba were arrested for the murder and are languishing in prison.

Zimeye reports that the government of Zimbabwe on Monday held a rushed meeting at the Murehwa district office, to address Makore’s funeral.

The government is said to have demanded from the late’s family that Tapiwa be granted a state burial.

Tapiwa will be burried on Saturday however the family is yet to agree to state assisted burial.

Makore’s remains would be collected from Harare on Friday before burial the following morning.
