Leader of the Zimbabwe democratic and economic freedom party Edith Chibamu has called for unity in a bid to end people’s misery in 2023.

Posting on Facebook, Chibamu said one of the most important qualities of a president is the ability to inspire, to bring people together for the common good.

“Our biggest challenge as a nation is, *we often try to force the experience we want to have,* instead of allowing the experience we were meant to have, *in doing politics* that’s why *we always seem to miss out on gaining any new political insight or understanding.”, she said

“Our deepest longings and the question of *who to be the President* always cuts us in half, *dividing us within ourselves.*

“At *critical* stages and *significant moments* in the course of our situation, *we have been sinking with the weight of our own questions for 20 years now*, drowning in our own psyche in order to reach a subtle ground that secretly *sustains our every breath and comfort as a nation.*

“In that sense, all *separations, splits, and conflicts are evidence of a unity we long to find,* both individually and collectively.

“It is the time we need to *learn from our mistakes as a nation and unite for a common purpose* in making sure that we end our misery in the *2023 Elections.*
